What Jot stores

Jot stores your account identifier, name, email address, linked sign-in methods, notes, lists, reminders, sharing choices, and notification device identifiers. Jot does not store your sign-in password.

For offline use, Jot keeps a copy of your notes and pending edits on your device or in your browser. Previously downloaded images may also be cached in the Android app. These copies are separated by account. Signing out clears that account’s local notes and images after warning about unsynced changes.

How information is used

Your information is used to sign you in, keep each account’s notes separate, show notes shared with your verified email address, synchronize edits, and deliver reminders you enable.

Sharing

When a note owner shares a note, people who sign in with the invited verified email address can view and edit that note. Other notes remain private to their owners.

Service providers

Jot uses Google for Google sign-in and Auth0 for email/password sign-in. Cloudflare hosts Jot and its notes database. Resend sends account verification and password-reset emails for Auth0. OneSignal delivers optional notifications. These providers process the information needed to deliver those services.

Your choices

You can remove a collaborator from a note, delete notes you own, disable notifications, or sign out. For access or deletion requests, contact the Jot owner using the support address shown on the sign-in page.

Security

Jot uses encrypted HTTPS connections, verified sign-in sessions, account-scoped database queries, and permission checks on every note operation.
